At dMarketplace, we facilitate seamless and secure cryptocurrency transactions through our integrated payment gateways. This policy outlines how you interact with and manage your crypto payments on our platform.
1. Our Cryptocurrency Payment Gateway Integration:
dMarketplace processes all cryptocurrency transactions via a secure, third-party cryptocurrency payment gateway. This dedicated gateway handles the complexities of crypto payments, ensuring secure and efficient processing.
- During Checkout: When you select cryptocurrency as your payment method at checkout, you will be directed to, or interact directly with, our trusted payment gateway. This gateway will provide you with the necessary details (e.g., wallet address, amount, QR code) to complete your payment from your personal cryptocurrency wallet.
- Supported Cryptocurrencies: Our payment gateway supports a range of popular cryptocurrencies, which may include but are not limited to Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and various stablecoins. The exact list of supported currencies will be displayed by the payment gateway at the time of your transaction.
2. Managing Your Crypto Payment Experience:
Unlike traditional fiat payment methods (e.g., credit cards) which are often stored, cryptocurrency payments are typically direct transfers from your personal wallet to a unique address provided by the payment gateway for each transaction.
- No Wallet Storage by dMarketplace: dMarketplace does not store your private keys, seed phrases, or direct access to your personal cryptocurrency wallets. Your wallet remains entirely under your control.
- Your Wallet, Your Management: Any “management” of your cryptocurrency funds and addresses primarily takes place within your own personal cryptocurrency wallet (e.g., software wallet, hardware wallet, exchange account). This includes:
- Funding your wallet.
- Generating new addresses within your wallet.
- Managing your wallet’s security.
- Gateway Features: The payment gateway itself may offer features during the transaction process, such as:
- Displaying real-time exchange rates (if applicable for cross-currency payments).
- Notifying you of applicable transaction fees (network fees or gateway fees).
- Providing a transaction ID (hash) for you to track the payment on the blockchain.
3. Security and Best Practices:
- Secure Gateway: We partner with reputable cryptocurrency payment gateways that employ industry-standard security measures to protect your transactions.
- Verify Addresses: Always double-check the cryptocurrency address provided by the payment gateway before sending funds. Copy-pasting is recommended to avoid errors.
- Wallet Security: You are responsible for the security of your own cryptocurrency wallet. This includes using strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and safeguarding your private keys/seed phrases.
- Beware of Scams: dMarketplace will never ask for your private keys or seed phrases. Be cautious of any requests that deviate from the standard payment process.
4. Refunds and Returns:
As outlined in our Cancellation Policy, any approved refunds for cryptocurrency payments will be processed back to the original cryptocurrency payment address from which the payment was initiated.
5. Payment Support:
If you encounter any issues during the cryptocurrency payment process or have questions related to a transaction, please contact dMarketplace support via the “Get Support” option in “My Account – Orders.” For specific technical issues related to your personal crypto wallet, you may need to contact your wallet provider directly.
